Springing into Success with Celtic Goddess Cliodhna

AS SPRING APPROACHES WE ARE BEING NUDGED TO SET GOALS AND TAKE ACTION. EVEN JUST 10 MINUTES A DAY IS A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. WE ALREADY KNOW THAT OUR DREAMS HAVE A UNIVERSAL RIGHT TO BE REALIZED, BUT IT DOESN’T HURT TO ADD A LITTLE MAGIC, DOES IT?

So, let me to introduce you to Cliodhna, (prounounce Klee-Nuh) the Celtic Goddess of love, beauty, fertility, and abundance. She is the Patron Goddess of County Cork, Ireland and has a stone circle of her own located near Mallow, Ireland.

A sea and land Goddess, she holds the great abundance energy of the ocean, plus the grounding energy of the earth.

She is said to be accompanied by three magical singing birds, and lives off of an eternal apple tree, where her birds also eat and perch. She fell in love with a mortal man named Ciobhan of the Curling Locks. She left the Underworld to be with him, but the Otherworld called her back. She is lulled to sleep by harp music at the seashore, and a great wave carries her back to the Underworld. It is said that every ninth wave that hits the shore in Glendora Harbor, Cork County, Ireland, is known as Cliodhna’s wave.

So, how do we work with all this amazing fertile, yet grounding energy of this Goddess? First, set some goals clearly on a sheet of paper in ink. Remember to dream big and get it all out of your heart, and onto the paper.

Next, it’s time to prepare an altar to honor the Goddess’ Energy and seek her aid. If you have an altar, you are all ready. If you don’t have an altar, anyplace will do- on a dresser or table. I myself, will be placing a container of water on my altar. Perhaps a blue or white candle with some Roman Chamomile or Eucalyptus Essential oil dropped into it. Place anything around the water that refers to mermaids or oceans. Shells, hag stones, and even a green plant to denote her Earth energy.

Place an offering on the altar. Cliodhna loves to be offered apples, fresh water, mead, herbs and herbal teas, cakes, wine, bread, sweets, eggs and flowers. Play some Celtic music with the flute and harp. She doesn’t prefer smoke offerings, so steer clear of incense!

Place your goals on the altar and light the candle. Maybe recite a prayer to ask for help in accomplishing your goals. Remember to thank the Goddess, and if you decide to keep the altar up for a while, offer her something each week, in return for her aid.

Remember that once you ask for her help, you need to take actionable steps towards your goals from here on. There is no turning back from where you are going and the abundance you are manifesting. See it through, knowing that the Divine has your back and has given you this dream for a reason.

May the Goddess Cliodhna shower you with fertility as you move forward with her!

All my Love,

Nelle Mack
